Abstract

1297831 Cosmetic applicator HELENA RUBINSTEIN Inc 9 Feb 1970 6036/70 Heading B8P A cosmetic applicator comprises a liquid reservoir 26 closed by a plug 34 having a conical bore 48, the plug also having a flexible rubberlike diaphragm with a central hole 56 through which a brush 24 passes. Portions 54 of the diaphragm are inclined inwardly to facilitate entry of the brush. A resilient cap 58 retains the diaphragm in the plug 34. A cap screws on to the end 40 of the plug. In another embodiment (Fig. 6) a container for mascara takes the place of the cap and an applicator therefor is provided.
