1297295 Preparing "hepatitis factor" J F McCULLER 26 Nov 1970 [8 Dec 1969] 56339/70 Heading A5B [Also in Division B1] A solution of "hepatitis factor" characteristic of infectious and serum hepatitis is obtained by freezing a serum sample, removing the bottom layer of the layers formed on thawing and incubating a mixture of the bottom layer material and an aqueous saline solution of glycine pH 8.6 to 9.2 in proportion 1:13 to 1:17 at room temperature with intermittent shaking for 15 minutes, when the "hepatitis factor" is said to separate from the globulin, and can react with the gamma globulin of a diagnostic reagent (see Divisions B1-B2)
