The switch WS has a further position SIV for intermittent operation of the motor through an interrupter switch having contacts k with a hot wire element BG and an adjustable resistor RV. Contacts k are operated to connect the source terminal to the terminal 53 of the motor for lowspeed operation. After the cooling period of the short-circuited element BG, the contacts k shift so that the terminal 53 is connected to the spring m. The wipers are thus parked after each pulse of the interrupter switch.
