Abstract

1295157 Rear-view mirrors INITIAL PLASTICS Ltd 22 July 1971 [21 Sept 1970] 44909/70 Heading B7J [Also in Division G2] A rear-view mirror comprises a sheet of metal, or metallized plastics, foil 9, and a support plate 2 with a surrounding raised rim 4 integrally moulded from thermoplastics material, the foil being held under tension and attached by bonding or adhesive 6 to the rim to form a sealed chamber between the foil and the plate. The foil is preferably held in convex form by a superatmospheric pressure within the chamber.
