Abstract

1293721 Lubricants ESSO RESEARCH & ENG CO 8 Jan 1971 1017/71 Heading C5F Lubricants comprise a mineral oil and an additive concentrate comprising 0À1-10 wt. per cent of zinc oxide having a particle size of 0À02-0À25 microns, 0À5-50 wt. per cent of zinc and/or magnesium naphthenate and 40-99À4 wt. per cent mineral oil. The zinc oxide may be precoated with the zinc salt of a C 2 -C 4 fatty acid. The lubricant may also contain a zinc dialkyl dithiophosphate, oleic acid, sulphurized sperm oil, zinc oleate, tertiarybutyl para-cresol, phenyl-α-naphthylamine and tricresyl phosphate.
