Abstract

1291726 Ink ribbon mechanism TRIUMPH WERKE NURNBERG AG 13 Oct 1969 [17 Oct 1968] 50154/69 Heading B6F Ink ribbon vibrator mechanism includes a ribbon fork 24 connected to a lever 18 pivotable about a shaft 3 by means of a cam slot 14 in a lever 12 fixed to the shaft 3, a pin 25 being located in the slot 14 and in a slot 20 in an arm 19 of the lever 18. The pin 25 is drawn in the direction A by snatch roll mechanism operating type levers (not shown) and according to the initial position of the pin 25 in the slot 14 as determined by an adjustable catch lever 4, the ribbon fork 24 is lifted by one of two amounts or not at all. When the pin 25 is drawn in the direction A it is constrained to move in the slot 14 until it reaches the end thereof when it moves in a slot 13 and no further lift of the ribbon fork 24 occurs. In the position shown, with a spring detent 11 in a recess 8 of the catch lever 4, the initial position of the pin 25 is as shown and no lift of the fork 24 occurs. Further recesses 6, 7 in the catch lever 4 correspond to the two degrees of lift of the ribbon fork.
