Abstract
1291659 Valves N NOMURA 16 Dec 1970 [29 Dec 1969] 59808/70 Heading F2V Disposed within a housing 1 having inlet and outlet ports A and B, respectively, there is a hollow sleeve member 3 which has an annular aperture 6 registering with the inlet A and a substantially triangular aperture 7 registering with the outlet B, the triangular aperture having sides which diverge outwardly in a direction towards the outlet, that is the area of aperture 7 increases towards the outlet. The sleeve accommodates a plug 9 having a cavity 11, one end of which opens directly to the aperture 6 whilst the other end opens into a passage 13 which converges in a direction towards the plug periphery and terminates in an opening 12, the opening 12 co-operating with the aperture 7 and their relative disposition, determined by the angular setting of plug 9, serves to control the outflow to port B.
