Abstract
1291492 Extensible roll-up tables; on-andoff castors M-J L OSTOLAZ 13 Nov 1969 [19 Nov 1968] 55650/69 Headings A4H and A4U A table has an extensible roll-up top 2 wound on a drum 3 and connected at its free-end to a front wall 1. When wall 1 is pulled forwardly away from the remainder of the table, the top 2 extends, telescopic side frame members 4 also extending, and helical torsion springs 6 inside the drum 3 are stressed. To prevent automatic retraction of top 2 by the springs 6, a lever 8 on wall 1 is rotated through 90 degrees to lower brake shoes 12 into contact with the ground, through a cam 9 and levers 10, and raises rollers 13, of contact with the ground. A pin (14) Fig.2 (not shown) is inserted into the drum 3 to brake springs 6. The final part of the closing movement of the telescopic members 4 is braked by iron blocks (16, 17) Fig. 5 (not shown).
