1290608 Glass composition PHILIPS ELECTRONIC & ASSOCIATED INDUSTRIES Ltd 30 Sept 1970 [3 Oct 1969] 46570/70 Heading C1M A glass, which may be used for the envelope or face plate of a cathode ray tube particularly colour television tubes consists of, in weight per cent SiO 2 54-69; Na 2 O 6-10; K 2 O 5-10; CaO 0-4; MgO 0-2À5; N 2 O 3 0-6; ZrO 2 0- 6; BaO 8-18; ZnO 0-5; CeO 2 0À05-0À3; Sb 2 O 3 0-3 and As 2 O 3 0-0À3, such that Na 2 O + K 2 O = 14-20; ZrO 2 + Al 2 O 3 # 6; BaO + 2ZrO 2 + ZnO + 4Sb 2 O 3 > 3 ; As 2 O 2 + Sb 2 O 3 # 0À3. The glass may be sealed to existing glasses since its coefficient of thermal expansion lies between 98 and 102 x 10<SP>-7</SP>‹ C. measured between 30‹ and 300‹ C.
