Abstract
1289494 Fusible cut-outs LODZKIE ZAKLADY APARATURY ELEKTRYCZNEJ 25 Nov 1969 [25 Nov 1968] 57497/69 Heading H2G A fusible cut out arrangement comprises two members (Fig. 1) of a low temperature melting point (l.t.m.p.) material formed at one point by l.t.m.p. 3 material arrangements being made to stress at least one of the members 1 so that when the material 3 is fuzed by a temporary overload current the members 1 separate forming a gap in which an arc is initiated which fuses the members 1. The material 3 may be lead-tin solder or conductive glue. Instead of using the U spring 4 the stressing may be effected by e.g. a flattened helical spring 4 (Fig. 7), a torsion coil spring or an insulating block having two pins one bearing on each member 1 (Fig. 4, not shown).
