Abstract

1289235 Tape applying device T SNEDDON 27 Aug 1971 [29 Aug 1970] 41703/70 Heading B8F A device for applying adhesive to tape and subsequently applying the tape to a surface comprises a roll of tape 13 mounted on slats 11. The tape passes through a container 16 containing adhesive, via slots 18, only one face of the tape being in contact with the adhesive. A freely rotatable roller 20 applies the coated tape to a surface. The roller may be frusto-conical, V-shaped or inverted V-shaped in profile so as to facilitate the covering of non-planar surfaces.
