Abstract

1288636 Valves P G ASHWORTH 12 Jan 1970 [13 Aug 1969] 41132/69 Heading F2V A water tap has a closure member 20, 21 urged by water pressure and a spring 35 on to its removable seat 18 and actuated by a remote footoperated lever 43 connected through a Bowden cable 33 to a lever 29 passing through a slot in the valve stem. A depending cylindrical flange 26 on a plastics plug 25 co-operates with a cupshaped member 27 on the valve stem to form a dashpot clamping valve closure. A plastics cover 45 is secured to the valve body 10 and the water basin 14.
