Abstract
1287544 Cable clamps R LUDI AG 19 April 1971 [9 March 1970] 23317/71 Heading H2E A cable clamp device incorporated in a side of a switch box or the like comprises two parallel members 28 and 20 Fig. 3 having opposed holes 25, 26 and a slidable member 30 with matching holes so that a wire 40 may be passed through all three members in both passageways. The slidable member is then jacked upwards by the action of the screw 32, the recess formed in the slidable member has a complementary thread therein, and clamps the wires as shown in Fig. 4, the wire being distorted so as to seal the hole in section 28. The screw thread and screw may be wholly contained within the member 30. The box may have a dust tight cover and may be of moulded plastics material.
