Abstract

1287488 Electronic watches P VOGEL 8 June 1970 [3 July 1969] 27641/70 Heading G3T To reset the time in an electronic watch comprising an oscillator 1, Fig.1, a frequency divider 2, a minutes counting and display unit 3 and an hours counting and display unit 4 - a spring-biased push-button 5 is pressed thereby opening switches 5a, 5b to interrupt the normal input to the minutes counter and hours counter. At the same time switch 5a bridges another pair of contact thereby applying a charge in a capacitor 7 to the minutes counter to advance it one step. By repeatedly pressing and releasing the push-button switch the watch may be advanced by a desired number of minutes. Likewise by pressing a spring-biased push-switch 6 the change in a capacitor 9 can be applied to the hours counter to advance it one step each time pressed. In a modification, Fig.2 (not shown) the hours and minutes counters can also be stepped backwards by the charge in respective additional capacitors operated by respective additional switch. That is four switches in total or alternatively twochange-over switches may be used.
