Abstract

1287160 Vehicle doors FORD MOTOR CO Ltd 27 Oct 1970 [29 Nov 1969] 50931/70 Headings B7B and B7J A motor vehicle door comprises an inner panel 1, which may be a sheet metal pressing, having flanges 2, 34 detachably connected to an outer door panel 8, and a sheet metal protection member 6 fixed to one of the panels. A resilient seal is compressed between the flanges and the outer panel. The inner panel facing is covered by foamed trim meterial 10 which may be extended to co-operate with door seals 11 and at 14 with the window 12. Fittings such as arm rests and grab handles are formed of the foamed material.
