Abstract
1285612 Rotary-piston I C engines POLITECHNIKA KRAKOWSKA 19 Nov 1969 [21 Nov 1968] 56541/69 Heading F1F In a Wankel-type engine ignition of compressed fuel-air mixture within a combustion chamber 8 by a glow plug 7 is regulated by a rotary gate or shutter 4 coupled to the power-output shaft through toothed gearing and having a portion 5 cut away, ignition occurring only when said portion is in register with channels 1, 2 and thereby permitting a proportion of said mixture to come into contact with the heating element 6, which may be electrically heated. Flash-back through the channels ignites the remainder of the mixture.
