1285240 Photo-electric process monitoring LABORATOIRES D'ELECTRONIQUE ET D'AUTOMATIQUE DU NORD 8 May 1970 [8 May 1969] 22388/70 Heading G1A In a method and apparatus for regulating the concentration of a dyeing or colouring vat the difference between the concentration of the dyeing or colouring solution in the vat and that of a solution progressively diluted in a reference bath subjected to the same conditions is measured and the measurement is used to effect servo regulation of for example vat temperature pH or the addition of constituents, or as a basis for manual regulation. The reference sample may be diluted according to a predetermined law. The measurements may be effected sequentially in a system using a chopper or different colours or constituents may be monitored simultaneously or sequentially.
