Abstract
1284235 Water soluble disazo dyestuffs FARBWERKE HOECHST AG 14 Nov 1969 [14 Nov 1968] 55951/69 Addition to 1188473 Heading C4P Novel dyestuffs of the formula (wherein D is the radical of a diazo component of the benzene or naphthalene series; K is the radical of a coupling component of the benzene or naphthalene series, the acylated amino group of which is in the para position to the azo bridge; X is H or C 1-4 alkoxy; and n is 1, 2 or 3) are prepared by acylation of the appropriate N- unsubstituted - disazo dyestuffs with #- (2<SP>1</SP>,2<SP>1</SP>,3<SP>1</SP>,3<SP>1</SP> - tetrafluoro - 41 - methylcyclobutyl)-acrylic acid chloride in an aqueous medium in the presence of an acid-binding agent. The dyestuffs give yellowish to reddish brown shades on nitrogen-containing material. Specification 1,089,993 is referred to.
