1283891 Drawer runners INSTRUMENT SYSTEMS CORP 2 Jan 1971 209/71 Heading A4B A telescopic drawer guide assembly, comprises a drawer section 22, a cabinet section 18, intermediate section 20, a flexible cable 54 secured at its ends 56, 58 to the cabinet section 18 and formed into a loop slidably engaged over a pair of longitudinally spaced guides 52, 50 on the intermediate section 20, and a pawl 66 with a hooked end 68 normally engaged in an opening in the drawer section 22, the pawl 66 being pivotally mounted on a block 60 secured, as at 62, to the cable 54, the arrangement being effective to ensure that the drawer track 22 moves at twice the speed of the intermediate section 20. The pawl 66 may be gravity or spring urged into engagement with the opening 70 and may be raised out of engagement by abutment with a roller 39 and/or projection 72 to permit removal of the drawer section 22. Stops 42, 44 and 34, 36 limit outward displacement of the track sections.
