Spark-arresters.-In amodification of the apparatus described in the parent Specification, inclined plates d, e, f are placed in a staggered order so that the smoke &c. passes in a zigzag and helical path up the funnel. The edges of the plates d, e, f, which are presented to the axis of the funnel, are bent downwards to catch the sparks. A cone h is provided preferably as shown at the bottom of the funnel.
