Abstract

1280053 Valves WILMOT BREEDON TRUFLO Ltd 19 April 1971 [10 Feb 1970] 6393/70 Heading F2V A part-spherical (or part-cylindrical) valve member 20 having an aperture (32) therethrough and mounted on trunnions 21, 22 in bearings 23, 24 is manually or mechanically rotatable to control flow between an inlet 13 and an outlet 17. Seals 15, 19 which bear on the inner and outer concentric surfaces of the valve member may be 0-rings, fluid pressure biased lip seals or spring and fluid pressure biased seals. Extensions 33, 34 of the inlet and outlet protect the seals from fluid flow. In a modification the outlet seal and the inner trunnion bearings are dispensed with.
