1279502 Vinyl halide polymer compositions STAUFFER CHEMICAL CO 22 Aug 1969 [29 Aug 1968] 41898/69 Heading C3P A vinyl halide polymer composition has a DP w /DP n ratio of 3À2 or less and a DPl z+1 /DP w ratio of 5À0 or more such ratios being based on all polymer molecules. (The values of DP n &c. are defined in the Specification). These ratios are achieved in polymer compositions containing a small amount of a high molecular weight polymer. Examples describe P.V.C. containing (a) a small amount of high molecular weight P.V.C., the composition being produced by the process of Specification 1,279,501, (b) 6 p.h.r. of high M.W. P.V.C. introduced by mixing melts and (c) 3 p.h.r. of a polystyrene introduced by milling.
