Abstract

1279072 Measuring yarn tension TSUDAKOMA INDUSTRIAL CO Ltd 11 Jan 1971 [16 April 1970] 1322/71 Heading G1W [Also in Division D1] A yarn carrier 1 is mounted at one end 2a in a stand 3 so as to be pivotable about that end and is mounted at its other end 2b in the lower end of a lever 11 pivoted at 12, a projection 16 on the lever 11 pressing against a device 17 under the effect of yarn tension, and the device 17 providing an electrical signal displayed at 18 corresponding to the yarn tension. A braking force, indicated at 19, is applied to the yarn carrier by a brake 4, and the braking force may be controlled by the output of device 17. The yarns are delivered from carrier 1 in sheet form. A spring may be provided to urge the arm 11 away from device 17 and may be a linear spring acting on arm 11 Fig.2 (not shown) or a spiral spring on the fixed shaft 12.
