Valve-gear. - To avoid the necessity for a stuffing-box on the spindle of a fuel-injection valve, the valve-stem J and lever L are completely enclosed within the valve casing. The lever L is actuated by a plunger S of substantial length which is kept fluidtight by a series of grooves which receive lubricant and by a seating v. The lever L is mounted on a knife-edge bearing, and has a recess in each arm for engagement with the plunger S and with a sleeve on the valve stem respectively.
