127,799. Wood, W. O., and Evenson, I. March 18, 1919. Locking nuts and bolts.-A device for locking nuts, bolts, studs, set - screws, coach - screws, &c., comprises a serrated washer c, Fig. 1, fixed on a reduced end of the bolt and engaging serrations on the nut, to which it is connected by a flanged union nut e. Fig. 5 shows a modification in which the washer c embraces the nut or bolt head and engages a washer f below the head g by serrations d. The washer f has projections k engaging the work, and the two washers are connected by a union nut e. In both cases, the nut c may be formed with a cap m covering the end of the bolt.
