Abstract
1277854 N-oxides of dibenzothiepin derivatives SPOFA UNITED PHARMACEUTICAL WORKS 10 Dec 1970 [10 Dec 1969] 58794/70 Heading C2C Novel N-oxides of a dibenzo(6,f)thiepin having the general Formula I wherein R<SP>1</SP> is hydrogen, halogen,trifluoromethyl or C 1-4 alkyl, alkoxy, and alkylthio; R<SP>2</SP> is C 1 _ 4 alkyl or a hydroxyalkyl group having from 2 to 4 carbon atoms; and X is sulphur, SO or SO 2 , and salts thereof may be prepared by treating the compound II with hydrogen peroxide. Pharmaceutical compositions of the compounds I show mainly a cataleptic activity with some central sedative effect when administered parenterally.
