Abstract

1,269,843. Building joints. MARLEY BUILDINGS Ltd. 3 Nov., 1970 [12 Nov., 1969], No. 55424/69. Heading E1B. A drainage channel 6 formed between concrete slabs 1 and 2 held together by bolts passing through holes 5, houses a sealing strip 9 of plasticized P.V.C. having a pair of fins which are more resilient than the body portion, and the shape and size of the strip is such that the fins abut the elements throughout their length. Mastic sealing compound may be included between surfaces 12 and 13 and 15 and 16. Alternatively the strip may have a central protrusion which is squeezed between surfaces 15 and 16.
