Abstract

126,934. Vickers, Ltd., and McKechnie, Sir J. March 14, 1918. Floats for aerial machines.-The car of an aerial machine is provided with a pneumatic buffer bag B which is enclosed by a fabric covering C secured at its edges to the car so as to provide a watertight space of considerable volume around the bag to serve as float. The bag B is held in position by cords G secured to flaps H on the bag, the upper flaps being carried by a fabric strip I forming a rubbing-piece. The covering C is of stout canvas and has longitudinal cords F on its lower surface.
