In a clothes-airing rack elongated rope-support members 7 have a part 5, slidable in an openended groove in an arm 1 of the rack, and a part 8 having an aperture 6 through which a line is threaded. The members 7 abut each other in the groove and in modifications each member has more than one part 8, or a multi-aperture part 8 extends the length of the member 7.
