1,266,454. Propanolamine derivatives. KONINKLIJKE PHARMACEUTISCHE FABRIEKEN N.V. 18 Dec., 1970 [23 Dec., 1969], No. 62736/69. Heading C2C. 1 - Amino - 3 - (di - 2,6 - xylylmethoxy) propan-2-ol and its acid addition salts are prepared by reacting l,2-epoxy-3-(di-2,6-xylylmethoxy)- propane with ammonia, optionally followed by salt formation. The base may be isopropylated and optionally converted to a salt. The above compounds possess antiarrhythmic activity, and may be administered in the form of pharmaceutical preparations containing them in association with a carrier.
