[Also in Divisions G2-G3] 2 - Methylthio - 7 - oxotetrahydrobenzothiazole is prepared by reacting brominated cyclohexanedione and ammonium dithiocarbamate, and pouring the product into NaOH and then reacting it with dimethylsulphate.
