Abstract
1,263,970. Radiant heating tubes. MIDLAND-ROSS CORP. 21 May, 1969 [23 Aug., 1968], No. 25868/69. Heading F4B. A tube-type combustion apparatus, for example a radiant heating tube 10, comprises an elongated combustion chamber 14 having a burner assembly 16 adjacent one end of the chamber and an eductor 18 at the other end of the chamber for causing combustion air to flow into the tube around the burner assembly 16, and venting means 39 disposed upstream of the nozzle 36 of the eductor and comprising one or more openings 40 having a closure member 42 for varying the effective size of the openings.
