Abstract

1,262,936. Coating apparatus. HAUNIWERKE KORBER & CO. K.G. 18 April, 1969 [17 Aug., 1968], No. 19858/69. Heading B2L. [Also in Divisions D1 and F1] A device for feeding viscous liquids, e.g. gum, comprises a closed pressure container 6 for the liquid having a displaceable pressure member 7 therein which applies constant pressure to the liquid, and a power driven pump, e.g. a gear pump 9 which receives liquid under pressure from the container and distributes it to a delivery device 1. As shown, the delivery device comprises transfer and applicator rollers 3, 2 of a cigarette-paper gumming machine. The member 7 may be actuated hydraulically via a control piston 17 in cylinder 16. A limit switch 19 causes reversal of the hydraulic pressure via an electromagnetic control when the container has been emptied.
