Abstract

126,204. Walker, F. July 2, 1918. Retaining-walls.-Stepped building-blocks for retaining-walls and the like of the kind described in Specification 109,582, [Class 87 (i), Bricks &c.], wherein the faces of the steps are tapered and grooved, are made of concrete,' brick, iron, or steel, of the shape shown in Fig. 1, to avoid continuous horizontal joints between the courses. Horizontal and vertical pipes D, E for filling-cement, and hanging-bolts H and ferrules I are provided as described in the prior Specification. The iron or steel blocks are cast hollow and are ribbed, so that they may be used as bolted tubbing and may receive a concrete facing.
