Abstract
1,261,129. Valves. GULLICK DOBSON Ltd. 30 Oct., 1969, No. 53106/69. Heading F2V. A fluid flow control means comprises a slide valve including a multi-ported member 10 having ports 11 and another ported member 12, an operating member 19 for effecting relative movement between the members 10 and 12 so as to bring a port of one into register with a port of the other, and a further valve 23 also operated by the member 19. Fluid enters at a passage 21 and passes through a tubular valve member 23 and slots 32 but is obturated at the valve seat 24. With the member 12 rotated by the handle 18 to the desired position, the member 19 is pivoted about fulcrum 20 to depress a plunger 30 and thereby admit fluid to the desired port 11. Thereafter, the handle 18 may be rotated about the member 19 bringing an eccentric 34 to bear on an abutment 35 so as to maintain the valve 23 in the open position.
