Abstract

1,260,067. Tape cable. STANDARD TELEPHONES & CABLES Ltd. 24 Sept., 1970, No. 45510/70. Heading H1A. An element 1 for joining to other identical elements to form a flat strip cable comprises a metal conductor 4 embedded in insulating material. On one side of the element is formed a rib 2 and on the other side a recess 3 so that a rib 2 of an identical element may be push-fitted into this recess to build up a cable. The insulating material, which may be P.V.C., polyethylene or polyethyleneglycolterephthalate, is extruded around the conductor 4. Two or more conductors 4 may be provided in each element and the conductors may be of circular crosssection.
