Abstract
1,258,338. Structural element. SCHEFFEL & RUETER G.m.b.H. 22 April, 1969 [23 April, 1968; 9 Jan., 1969], No. 20429/69. Heading E1K. A structural element comprises uprights 6 detachably connected with transverse members 7, each upright having a junction plate 8 at its base and a lateral support plate 9 adjacent its upper end, fillets 10 extending from the transverse members 7 through plates 8, 9 of adjacent uprights. Plate 8 is welded across the lower face of the upright, and plate 9 is welded around the upright at a distance from its upper face equal to the width of a member 7. Fillets 10 are formed of plates 12 welded in slots 13 in transverse members 7. A framework is assembled with transverse members 7 positioned between plate 9 of a lower upright and plate 8 of a superimposed upright, the 'fillets projecting through the plates and being secured by wedges 17.
