A trailer has a body 14 which is tipped by means of a telescopic drawbar 2, 3 connected to the axle 8 of the body and telescopic links 9, 10, 11 pivotally connected to the body and to the front element 2 of the drawbar and being inclined upwardly and rearwardly. The body 14 is supported in its horizontal position on a bracket 23. To tip the body, lever 20 is used to brake wheels 21 and lever 19 to remove locking pin 16 from aligned apertures in elements 2, 3. Tractor 6 is then reversed and as the drawbar telescopes inwardly the body 14 is lifted by collapsed link 11 and then successively by links 10, 9.
