Abstract
1,256,648. Magnetic separators. ERIEZ MFG. CO. 8 July, 1969 [23 Jan., 1969], No. 34295/69. Heading B2J. A magnetic rpll for a magnetic separator comprises first permanent magnets 12, 13 supported in a cylindrical non-magnetic envelope in axial and circumferential rows, the polarity of the magnets being the same in each circumferential row and opposite in each axial row a plurality of second magnets 16 disposed in the axial rows between the first magnets the polarity of the ends of the second magnets being the same as the outer ends of the first magnets and a plurality of third magnets 15 disposed in the circumferential rows between the first magnets, the polarity of the outer ends of the third magnets being the same as the outer end of each first magnet in the same circumferential row.
