Abstract

1,253,784. Undergarments. LITTON INDUSTRIES Inc. 18 May, 1970 [19 May, 1969], No. 24026/70. Heading A3V. [Also in Division F4] A heating garment worn by a diver or swimmer and utilizing an exothermic chemical reaction comprises a heating tube 30 located between inner and outer layers of nylon 50 and 52. A conventional wet suit 54 overlies the garment which is worn adjacent the skin 46. A perforated tube 34 is disposed coaxially within the heating tube 30. Phosphorus trichloride supplied to the perforated tube reacts with water flowing in the space between the tubes thereby producing heat. The arrangement is such as to provide uniform distribution of heat to the wearer.
