An aqueous shampoo composition for treating hair to remove dandruff therefrom comprises 1À5-10% by weight of a chelating agent and 5-30% by weight of an anionic surfactant as sole surfactant. The composition may also contain a germicide, preservative, humectant, emollient, opacifier and conditioning agent.
