Abstract

1,252,231. Starting; heating induction pipes. ROBERT BOSCH G.m.b.H. Jan.27, 1970 [Jan.28, 1969], No.3769/70. Headings F1B and F1K. In a flame glow plug for use as a starting aid for Diesel or multi fuel internal combustion engines, fuel to be ignited is conducted through a coiled tube 15 and is heated, vapourized and ignited by a heating element 14, the fuel emerging 15' from an end portion of the coiled tube substantially in the form of fuel vapour and being ignited. In a modification (not shown) a single fuel vaporizing coil is wound around two glow pins.
