Abstract
1,252,181. Levels. MIRACLE INSTRUMENT CO. Jan. 28, 1969. No. 4711/69. Heading G1F. A spirit level unit comprises a body part 10 and a spirit vial part 11, the spirit vial part having a rectangular base and being formed with covered chambers, as 23, with transparent semicircular tops, the chambers accomodating two tubular spirit level vials, as 26, disposed at right angles to each other. The body part 10 has back and bottom walls 13, 18 at right angles to each other, the back wall 13 being provided with a triangular extension 15 spaced from the bottom wall 18 and serving as a support for a mirror 17 disposed at 45 degrees to the bottom wall, which is additionally provided with a raised part 19 forming with the walls 13, 18 a channel for accommodation of the spirit vial part 11. The body part 10 may be extended in plastics material and may be provided with a tapped hole for mounting the unit on a support. The spirit vial part 11 may be of transparent plastics material and is located in the body part 10 by a flange 20. The mirror 17 facilitates the viewing of the two spirit level vials.
