Abstract

1,250,676. Extrusion die heads. CONTINENTAL GUMMI-WERKE A.G. 22 July, 1969 [30 July, 1968], No. 36683/69. Heading B5A. A die head for the extrusion coating of cores comprises a guide tube 9 for the core wherein inlet section 9a is straight and interchangeably retained by a lock-nut 11, intermediate section 9c is curved and outlet section 9b is straight, interchangeable, supported by an aperture plate 12, and has a downstream orifice cross-section similar to that of the core. Intermediate section 9c may have internal rib-like guide rails. An interchangeable die head nozzle 4 is supported by a ring 7 movable transversely of the die head axis by means of screws 8 and is locked by a wing nut 5. Cylinder 3 provides a heating or cooling jacket.
