Abstract

1,250,362. Pliers. K. KOSKINEN. 2 Sept., 1969, No. 43451/69. Heading B4W. A pair of pliers for forming locating indentations in the wall of a pipe comprises jaws 1 and 3, with jaw 1 having its inner face conversely cylindrical with a projection 6 formed thereon and with jaw 3 having a recess or, as shown, an aperture 7 adapted to co-operate with the projection 6, jaw 1 also having a curved plate 8 which limits the depth to which jaw 1 can be inserted in a pipe and thus controls the location of the indentations to be formed dependent on the diameter of the pipe. Plate 8 could be recessed in the inner face of jaw 1 and is detachable. Projection 6 may be a steel ball sunk into or fastened to the jaw.
