Abstract

1,249,165. Spirit stoves. KIN HIP METAL & PLASTIC FACTORY Ltd. 7 May, 1970 [2 June, 1969], No. 27810/69. Heading F4T. A spirit stove comprises a circular tank 1 packed with fibre glass 9 for absorbing spirit to be burnt, a domed upper wall 3 connected to said tank and having a central circular area 24 and a shoulder portion 6 provided with three equishaped equispaced apertures 5 and three elongate apertures 7 respectively, and a shutter assembly 10 rotatably mounted on the upper wall and having three apertures 14 and three elongate apertures 16. The apertures 5, 14 and 7, 16 co-operate to form flame outlets and combustion air inlets respectively, rotating the shutter assembly 10 with the aid of a handle 12 causing the simultaneous stepless adjustment of the degree of opening of said apertures. The domed upper wall 3 has mounted thereon a short cylindrical chimney 17 for concentrating the flame and protecting it from lateral draughts.
