Abstract

1,248,720. Impact pulverizers. HAZEMAG HARTZERKLEENERUNGS - UND - ZEMUNT MASCHINENBAU G.m.b.H. 26 June, 1970 [8 July, 1969], No. 31206/70. Heading B2A. A beater mill comprises a rotor 3 having arms 2 which shatter material fed in at 4 impelling it against surfaces formed by known arrangements of impact plates 5, whence the material drops into an adjustable trough 9 formed by grinding elements 10 and is further pulverized by the beater arms 2. The size of product is adjusted by varying the position of the elements 10 by a threaded rod 13 which can be rotated to vary the position of support members 11 for the elements 10 relative to the rotor. The support members 11 are mounted on a movable housing 19 which can be run on rails 21 to facilitate replacement of the elements 10. An edge of each member 11 is stepped and a rib is welded on each step. Each element 10 has a slot 16 to accommodate the rib 15 to where it is fitted and the elements are restrained by being overlapped. The uppermost element is held in position by a spreader bar 17.
