Abstract
1,247,816. Reservoir pens. GUNTHER WAGNER PELIKAN - WERKE. 19 Dec., 1969 [21 Dec., 1968], No. 61984/69. Heading B6P. A reservoir pen includes a continuous ink overflow chamber 1 comprising a core 3 within a sleeve 2, the core being formed with transverse ribs 4a, 4b perpendicular to the axis of the core and extending part-way around the core, the ribs being interconnected by webs 5 to form an approximately helical chamber. The ribs may extend almost all the way around the core as shown, or may be shorter and the interconnecting webs in two series oppositely inclined to the axis of the core (Fig. 2, not shown). In a further embodiment (Fig. 3, not shown) the webs (16a, 16b) are perpendicular to the ribs (15a, 15b, 15c) and are arranged in a helical alignment around the core. The pen may have a tubular writing tip or a nib (Fig. 2).
