Abstract
1,247,807. Bakers' ovens. O. V. JORGENSEN [trading as BRDR. JORGENSEN'S MEKANISKE VAERKSTED], 24 Nov., 1969 No. 57367/69. Heading A2A. In a bakers' or like oven of the kind having an oven space 2 which receives a trolley 4 carrying the goods to be baked or heated, and ducts 20 extending vertically through the oven space and having discharge slits 21 via which hot air driven by a fan 16, is injected into the space 2, the ducts 20 are formed integrally with a distribution duct 10 in which the fan is located and which is rotatably mounted by means of an inlet tube 9, plate 11 and bearing 12, so the duct assembly can be rotated, through a chain drive to a toothed rim 15, about the trolley, the jets of air from the slits 21 being arranged to intersect whereby the hot air is distributed evenly over the goods and throughout the oven space. The fan 16 is mounted coaxially within the inlet tube 9, its driving shaft passing through a neck 8 formed on an air supply conduit 7 which receives air from the oven space via apertures 6 and directs it via the neck 8 into the distribution duct 10. A damper 25, controlling the flow of air in the conduit 7, may be operated in conjunction with a ventilating fan 23 to obtain rapid cooling of the oven space when the door 3 is opened. Heat is supplied to the circulating air by a burner 22.
