A curtain rail I comprises a plurality of separate rail sections 5 substantially co-extensive with and carrying a separate plastics guide-member 2 for runners 3, the guide-member 2 being supplied as a rolled up coil and having an upper channel 7 to receive the rail sections 5 as a releasable interference fit and a lower channel 8 to guide the runners 3. The guide-member 2 extends, uninterrupted by joints, over the whole length of the rail 1. A flexible trim strip 14 is fitted on an upper flange 15 of the rail sections 5. The rail sections 5 may have a flange 11 or a groove for engagement with a support bracket 12. The rail 1 may have a vertical downward extension 16, Fig. 3 (not shown) at one end fitted with a slidable end stop (18) operated by a lever 24 to raise or lower curtains to and from the horizontal. run.
